Bungalows vs. Two Storeys
Can't decide which style of home is the right fit for you and your family? Both have their advantages but it really comes down to personal preference. Bungalows may offer a more open concept feel and depending on the floor plan may have larger rooms than a two story home. Another benefit to the bungalow style is that the home is fully accessible which could be appealing to those with reduced mobility or with young children. Ceiling heights are more negotiable in a bungalow since there is not a second story above it, higher ceilings can result in a more open feel, make the house look grander and provide more natural light!
Two story homes have the luxury of providing isolation between the main floor and the second floor, which is beneficial for dividing noise and allowing privacy from your guests. Two story homes also may allow for a more serene view from the second floor and possibly may be more cost effective since the home will typically take up less land space.
Think about what your family's needs and preferences are, one will begin to stand out as the right choice!
